A NEW scheme to make microchipping available for dogs has been launched in Chorley.
The borough council's environment warden team has joined forces with the National Canine Defence League to provide the service for a one-off, low cost payment of £9.95.
Once a computer chip has been inserted in the scruff of the dog's neck it can be identified using a hand held scanner.
Microchipping sessions will be held on Thursday, August 29, at Tatton Community Centre between 4pm and 7pm; on Wednesday September 4 at Clayton Brook Community Centre, between 4pm and 6pm; and on September 14 at Eaves Green Community Centre, between 11am and 1pm.
