FORTY-two new places will be created when a state-of-the art nursery is built in Hindley.
Brooklands Day Nursery has been awarded a £205,449 grant by the National Lottery's New Opportunities Fund as part of their Building Neighbourhood Nurseries programme.
The new building will form part of a split site between Hindley and Hindley Green and include 18 baby places.
Nursery manager, Adele Oldbury said: "We have responded to the great need within the community for good quality childcare, particularly for the very young.
"Thanks to the New Opportunities Fund we can now help to meet the needs of the local community."
