Horwich Heritage is putting on a series of cultural and historical events to coincide with the Commonwealth Games.
From Tuesday to Saturday, the group will be putting on an exhibition, Fifties Horwich, in their centre in Beaumont Road, from 10am to 4pm.
On Sunday, the organisation will be celebrating the anniversary of the opening of Lever Park with a stand in Rivington Parish Hall from 1pm to 4pm.
On Tuesday, August 6, there will be a guided walk around the scenic area Bottom o' th' Moor, starting at 7pm from Ridgmont House.
The group's schedule continues with a talk in the centre at 7.30pm on Tuesday, August 13, on Rivington Family History led by speaker David Owen.
