TWO members of staff and a customer were robbed at knifepoint in a raid at a Leigh newsagents. The customer was forced to hand over his wallet as the shop workers were ordered to open the till.
The robbery happened after the men ran into the shop in Holden Road, Leigh, at 7.30pm last night. A third robber waited in a white Astra van outside.
The van was later found abandoned. No one was injured. The robbers escaped with a substantial amount of cash.
The first is described as white, 5ft 7ins tall, slim in his early 20s. The second was also white, 5ft 9ins tall and slim. Both wore dark clothes and balaclavas.
