COULD I just say a big "thank you" to the binman who refused to empty my bin on Friday, July 26, outside Queen Street School on Dobhill Street in Farnworth.
At around 9am I was putting my bin out on to Dobhill Street when I noticed my neighbours' bins had already been emptied -- which was most unusual because it has never previously been before 10am. The binman was across the road from me, approximately five yards away. I asked politely could he possibly empty my bin. His reply was he couldn't because he was only emptying "track" bins ie schools, nurseries etc.
What I would like to ask the council is this:
1. Why the refusal when it was my "bin day"?
2. If the times of emptying our bins has changed, why have I not been made aware?
3. Why do I pay £1,300pa council tax when I am not being "serviced"?
