TWO football pictures today, the first, of SS Peter and Paul's, Pilkington Street, Bolton, school team in the 1946-47 season.
It has been sent to me by Mr Bryan Conway, of Moss Shaw Way, Radcliffe, who can be seen on the front row, first on left. He mentions others (some he can not name) as Lucas, Greenhalgh, Davenport, McNulty, Dunleavy, Cox, Flanagan and Turner.

The other photograph is of the Sacred Heart School, Westhoughton, 1947-48, and Mr Tom Newton, of Park Road, Westhoughton, who brought it in to me, says that the team played in the Horwich and Westhoughton inter-schools league and that he was the goalkeeper.
He names those on the picture as: Front row, from left, Tom Kilcoyne, Vincent Mann, Bob Harper, Lawrence Owens, John Thomason, Frank Goater, Kevin Houghton. Back row, from left, Joseph Forrest, Alan Robinson, Willie Marsh, Tom Newton, Donald Thomason, George Thornley, Jim Holden.
