TWELVE houses could be built next to a garden centre in Worsley.
The detached homes will go up on land next to Broadoak Garden Centre, Worsley Road, if Salford Council agrees to renew outline planning permission granted three years ago.
Three letters of objection were sent to the council, claiming the 12 properties would be too many to squeeze into the narrow valley site.
Residents also feared it would cause more traffic problems in Worsley Road, that the driveway to one house would cut across a public footpath, and a tree would be removed.
The plan is recommended for approval subject to conditions and the council will make a decision tomorrow.
