DRUGS-carrying Carl Hill thought he had outfoxed chasing police officers when he hurled two bags of drugs of amphetamine onto a mill roof, Bury magistrates were told.
Hill, aged 39, of Cateaton Street, Bury, bragged after his arrest that they would not be able to "pin" anything on him because he had thrown the bags "right over the roof".
But police called the fire brigade and, using ladders, firemen and police officers climbed on to the roof and found the drugs.
Hill pleaded guilty to drug possession, but denied stealing sand, stone, lead and a trailer, worth £200, from a builder's yard.
His case was adjourned until August 14.
Jack Allen, aged 27, of Teak Street, Bury, admitted theft.
Magistrates adjourned the case against Allen until August 19 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
