A DAY of Prayer for Africa takes place on Friday, from 10am to 4pm, at Trinity Church on Market Street, Farnworth.
People in Farnworth and Kearsley are invited to say a prayer at the church and make a donation towards the relief effort through the Methodist Relief and Development Fund.
Prayers will be said on the hour although the church will be open for private prayer throughout the day. Trinity Church has already decided to send £200 from church funds to respond to the growing crisis in southern Africa.
