NEW figures out today reveal that one in three council tenants in the North-west have been assaulted, and two in five have been burgled.
The findings, by insurance firm Norwich Union, show people lack faith in their neighbours. The study said these people are from areas once strong in community spirit, but nearly half of them believe they can make a difference in the fight against crime with the right support.
