MAY I first applaud Bolton Council and police for banning street robbers and youths, who terrorise families, from returning to the scene of their crimes.
To me, this is just a pinprick in the dreadful situation that this country is in. We should name them and shame them.
When we were young we could play out after tea, but, in an hour, our father and mother would come looking for us and woe betide us if they couldn't find us. I was talking to some people a while ago and we were discussing the crime problem and one of them said "forget the old days and look forward to the future". I said: "What future?" When we can walk the streets in safety, when we can come out of our houses any time, when children show respect to their parents, when parents go out and see what their children are up to. For, believe me, while they are watching television in comfort, their children are just around the corner making life hell for decent people who can't have a peaceful night. So, parents, in neglecting your children, you are wasting valuable police time when you should stop your children from destroying other people's lives. Think on that.
On drugs, we have to leave that to the drug squads. This is my future.
