WHO: Davina McCall. She's the nation's darling, the presenter who can do no wrong and the camera loves her.

Which might be why she is on the TV every time you switch it on these days. Yes, it's a rare Saturday evening when Davina's grinning mug doesn't fill the screen, generally hosting the kind of programmes that require the presenter to deal with bonkers members of the public. After making it on to mainstream TV with Don't Try This At Home, she snapped up the role as the host of Big Brother and her expert handling of the housemates, with a mixture of gentle sarcasm and sympathy, is a talent in itself (though how she hasn't managed to chin one of them by now is a mystery.) Now Davina is taking over the 'Ant and Dec' role in Popstars: The Rivals, in which groups of wannabes are divided into two separate houses, facing eviction every week (wonder where they got that idea from.) She is used to dealing with people whose only talent was to get on TV in the first place - but how will she cope with those who are convinced they are born for fame - even if they sound like a strangled cat. Well, it is going to be fun finding out.

WHERE: All eyes will be on the City Of Manchester Stadium on Sunday for the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games. The North-west has been buzzing over the past few weeks and as the Games come to a close the atmosphere is bound to be pretty joyful. If the opening ceremony is anything to go by the event should be spectacular but unfortunately we can't tell you who or what will be appearing , as the information is top secret. Rumour has it that Toploader (erm...that famous Manchester band?) will be performing and we do know that HRH The Queen will be popping her head in. But as for the rest, well, you'll just have to wait and see.

Who's Niz

Billie Piper: First she bugged the hell out of us with her dancing in the street to a glorified teenage tantrum (aka Because We Want To). Then she got all mature and remembered she had a surname after all. And then she confounded the nation by dating ginger millionaire DJ Chris Evans...and marrying him!

Billie began to appear a little less showbiz that she previously had, with rumpled casual clothes and messy hair suggesting she was quite happy living the quiet life with Evans. But no. Rumours have been circulating that Evans is making a comeback and word has it that Piper herself will be returning to the world of pop. OK Billie, we might accept you back on TOTP but please, no sentimental love songs about life with Mr Evans!
