BOLTON Harrier Brian Hall has earned his first Great Britain call-up.
The High Jump star was called into the GB Under 23 squad to face France and Greece.
The 19 year-old flies to France this weekend to make his debut in the coastal town of La Rochelle.
Hall had a slow start to the season due to an ankle injury but has been making up for lost time with impressive performances in the British League for his club and in the AAA senior Championships.
He has a season's best of 2.10m, but the former English Schools Champion will hope that the occasion inspires him to beat his personal best of 2.11m this weekend.
Last weekend the club's junior men continued their fine form.
Despite fielding what seemed a weak team, they still notched their third straight league win, which virtually guarantees them the title and a place in the promotion play-off.
Colin Bailey was awarded Athlete of the Match for wins in the Sprint Hurdles and Javelin and second in the High Jump.
Harriers' senior men's and women's teams are both in action at the weekend.
The men will look to move further away from the relegation zone at their penultimate league match in Blackpool on Saturday.
Meanwhile the women have home advantage on Sunday afternoon at Leverhulme Park in the Northern Women's League. Spectators are very welcome from noon.
