PASSENGERS had a miraculous escape when their car overturned on the motorway.
The four-by-four vehicle, which was towing a caravan, jackknived near the Kearsley junction of the M60 at 11pm last night.
The car ended up on its side in the outside lane while the caravan continued along the motorway for another 200 yards and came to rest on the hard shoulder.
Firefighters helped to remove the windscreen of the car to rescue a passenger.
None of the four people in the car is believed to have suffered serious injuries, but they all had cuts and bruises.
One woman was admitted to hospital with a suspected broken collar bone.
The motorway had to be closed for an hour.
