BOLTON Council has applied for planning permission to build a high rope area as part of an outdoor activities centre.
Plans for the high rope at High Rid in Lostock replace an existing facility at New Overdale which will be lost when the youth service moves to its new home at Castle Hill. The council already runs water sports activities in the area and it is hoped the high rope obstacle will fit in well with the other amenities on offer. There are also plans to build a single-storey building for classrooms and showers.
