WHEN 15-year-old Nicola Gilbert discovered she was pregnant she says she wanted to bury her head in the sand.

Instead, she told her mum, Helen, who, says Nicola, has offered nothing but love and support since. And now Nicola has nominated her mum for the Bolton Evening News' Bouquet of the Week.

Nicola says: "My mum has done nothing but help me and my boyfriend through my pregnancy.

"She stood by me and, when I wasn't feeling well, she just dropped everything to look after me. She takes me to the hospital for my scans and really does everything she can to reassure me.

"Mum has seven children and spends all her money on us and my dad. She never buys anything for herself.

"I think she deserves the Bouquet of the Week because, apart from everything she does, I want her to know she's the best mum ever and I love her dearly."
