ELDERLY residents in Lancashire have been warned to say alert after two doorstep conmen tricked their way into nine homes across Blackburn and Accrington and stole more than £2,000 in nine days.
They claimed to be water board officials. Police say residents should never open their doors to anyone they are unsure of.
