DISABLED facilities at polling stations in Chorley are to be upgraded.
Money has been made available to provide temporary ramps and improved access signs.
The review was prompted after the last election when it was felt that existing facilities were inadequate.
Chorley Borough Council are to spend £1,000 on the work.
Coun Ray Parr said: "There has been general dissatisfaction in the past and the review was much-needed.
"These improvements will help the disabled and elderly a lot as well as being of benefit to the schools themselves."
