FIREFIGHTERS rescued five people from a lift at Royal Bolton Hospital early today.
A female patient, two male porters, and two female nurses were inside the lift when it became stuck six inches from ground level on N block at about 3.30am.
The firefighters used a set of lift keys to open the door and release the patient and four staff, who were transferring the woman to another ward.
