A BURY firm helped to create a distinctive effect for a new bar cafe, restaurant and dance venue which opened in Bolton recently.
Garnett & Hilton fitted out the Life Bar Caf on Nelson Square.
The new venue, run by Luminar Leisure, opens during the day as a bar caf and restaurant, before being transformed into a late night dance venue with the removal of a number of giant partitions.
Garnett & Hilton gave the partitions a dramatic smashed glass effect by enclosing broken glass within Perspex. Managing director Ray Hilton said it was unusual to be asked to leave smashed glass on site after work was completed.
"Garnett & Hilton has been associated with the leisure industry for more than 50 years, and we have carried out work on several of Luminar Leisure's venues," he said. "This has been a busman's holiday for several of our staff who live in Bolton and will, no doubt, be regular customers at Life."
