SHOPPING and leisure centres in Bury, Radcliffe, Prestwich and Ramsbottom are to come under the spotlight in a series of checks to determine how successful they are. The results will be used for the town's blueprints for the future.
A team of planning and economic consultants will assess the town centre's strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for the future using telephone interviews.
A similar survey was conducted in 1990.
The study will consider the impact rival shopping centres are having on local trade.
The results will be used for the town's blue prints for the future -- the Unitary Development Plans.
