A TRAIN bound for Manchester ended up in Coventry after a signalman sent it down the wrong track, it has emerged.
More than 300 passengers on the 9.40am London Euston to Manchester service via Rugby were headed towards the Midlands city when the error was spotted.
Virgin Trains said the train was eventually sent back to Rugby and put on the right line.
