MYTHAM Ladies became holders of the Horwich Shield when they beat off a spirited Hulton Lane Ladies 171(I)-98.

Mytham have also recorded maximum points from 12 league matches in N Section, so the lower section Hulton Lane were always facing an uphill task if they were going to take the title.

CRS beat Little Lever CC 84(I)-59 in the semi-final of the Dixon Shield to book their final place.

There they will face Horwich RMI, who beat Sharples Park 180(I)-81 in the other semi-final.

The Pike Shield final will be played at Eagley Cricket Club on Friday, August 9, when Tansy Green (Prices C) take on Walkden team ASAP Ladies.

Most teams have now only four league matches to play before the end of the season and most sections are very close for title honours.
