GRAND Central's night of beats and breaks plays host to one of its own this weekend as hip hop DJ Aim takes over the decks.
Aim, aka Andy Turner, began DJing in 1989 with a keenness for the hip-hop beats emerging from the US.
After a fortuitous meeting with Grand Central's Mark Rae, the two formed a collaboration that allowed the DJ to pursue his music, resulting in the release of the 1999 album Cold Water Music, on the Grand Central label.
Aim is now a prolific DJ in the UK, also playing sets across Europe, Australia and the US, with regular slots at Bugged Out. He released his second album, Hinterland, in February to acclaim.
Appearing at Friends And Family at The Roadhouse on Saturday, Aim will deliver hip hop and underground samples for beats and breaks lovers everywhere. Don't miss it!
