THE Anti Nazi League's Love music - Hate Racism carnival will go ahead this Sunday at its new location of Platt Fields Park in Manchester, headlined by Ms Dynamite and Doves.
Both acts have been nominated for this year's Mercury Music Prize. Joining them to support the cause will be a host of acts including everyone's favourite protest singer, Billy Bragg, plus The Shining, Heartless Crew, Rodney P & Skitz, Bobby Friction, Juttla, Miss Black America, Nicky Blackmarket and MC Foxy.
The event is free, but the Anti Nazi League are in need of support and would be grateful for any donations.
The carnival was orchestrated in reaction to the recent events in Burnley, where the BNP gained three council seats. Originally the carnival was to be held in the town, but Burnley Council refused. A variety of artists and music fans of all races will come together for the event, which has two stages, a dance marquee, children's area, stalls and refreshments.
There will also be a march from the town hall in Manchester to Platt Fields at 11am, when the event will begin.
Get down there, enjoy the music and show your support for this very worthy cause.
