I'M afraid to say that, as of Monday my wild and crazy party days are over. I am hanging up my dancing shoes, putting on my jimjams and making sure that I'm in bed for 9pm every night with a nice cup of cocoa.
Well, okay, it's actually only for the next two weeks, which is how long I will be presenting the Breakfast Show for (or the Milkman shift as we like to call it) in the absence of the marvelous JK and Joel.
And boy is it going to hurt. No clubbing till the small hours and strolling into the Key 103 building at noon for me. Oh no. It's a grueling 6am start, which should be a sight for sore eyes. It is going to be weird seeing the sun come up over Manchester as I drive in around 5.30am, when even the birdies will still be rubbing their eyes. Mind you, at least I wont have any traffic worries.
Still, I have presented a Breakfast Show before and managed to survive it. And of course, it is one of Key 103's flagship shows so I am very chuffed to be speaking to all you early risers as you get ready and go to work. I'm also going to have a lot of fun, with some special guests lined up, which I will tell you more about next week.
There has also been a new addition to the Key 103 team recently. Comedian Justin Moorhouse has begun presenting a show on Sunday morning, called the Sunday Lie In. Moorhouse is a brilliant Manchester comedian and a regular at The Comedy Store. The show is full of gags and quips and has been getting a great reception from the listeners. He's on from 9am to 12pm. So while you might get to lie in, it seems that Justin doesn't.
