I WATCHED the appalling Party Fever on TV, in which a group of Bolton girls proved to what depths some people are prepared to sink to gain their few minutes of fame.
I watched the programme after reading Karen Stephen's article in the Bolton Evening news earlier in the day, in which one of the girls admitted she was regretting taking part.
Well I should think so!
Maybe she was egged on by the film crew and overcome by the booze, but oh dear me!
We have all been young and foolish -- and thankfully our exploits have not been shown on TV, but have morals ever been so lacking? Has respect for others, and, perhaps, most of all, self respect, ever been so low?
But what about the remark from the guy from Strong Films
that the girls "behaved like typical Bolton lasses." Come on girls, you're not going to take that lying down are you? Brian Derbyshire
