THERE was some midnight oil being burned during "revision" nights at the Lord Raglan pub in Bolton.
Landlady Jean Burns was putting her team through its paces for the great Lancashire Quiz Challenge.
The team -- Neil Wainwright, Garry Eaton, Geoff Lee and 'Charlie' Wilcock -- are used to having questions fired at them as they play regularly in the pub's quiz night on Tuesdays.
But was it enough when they took on a team from Hyndburn Leisure Services from Accrington? The quiz was recorded this week by BBC Radio Lancashire and GMR Radio with Bolton's own Norman Prince in charge of the bells and buzzers.
The Challenge has been running throughout the summer, with eight teams from the Bolton area taking on eight teams from Lancashire. The winners will be presented with the Bolton Evening News trophy.
The Lord Raglan recording will be broadcast next month.
To find out who won in the match between the Cheetham Arms from Sharples and a team of printers from Snapes and Co, Preston, tune into BBC Radio Lancashire next Saturday, September 7, at noon, and GMR at 1pm.
