WHAT a travesty it was on Saturday against Charlton. Wanderers had enough chances to have won the game twice over. In fact, if we had swapped defences with Charlton the score could have been 6-0 in Wanderers' favour.
The defending for the second goal was public park standard. Four Bolton defenders converged on the ball-carrier Claus Jensen, leaving two men completely unmarked in the six-yard box.
Also Jussi Jaaskelainen seems to have lost something since his back injury. He does not command his area like he used to, and seems to have no confidence with crossed balls from corners and free kicks.
Anyway we have to be optimistic, and as the slogan says, "Things can only get better" - or can they?
