I SEE one of the soccer players at Bolton has urged football to face up to the harsh facts of financial life, which is beginning to show at all the small clubs.
There is an old saying "The working man is a fool to himself". If you can call them working men that is, some of them get enough money in a couple of months than most men who graft all their life.
The reason is that the Football Association, managers and players have been so greedy. They say they love the game, but I am afraid they have done the game harm. The small clubs are going to the wall, and this has been going on for some time now, so it is nothing new.
The big clubs should be ashamed of themselves. I know what I would do with them.
