HOTEL bosses will soon discuss plans for the rebuilding of a luxury leisure centre destroyed in a massive blaze two weeks ago.
Rebuilding work could start in the next few months at the Last Drop Hotel, on Hospital Road, Bromley Cross, following the fire which wrecked the leisure club -- causing £1.4 million damage.
Users of the centre have been offered full refunds of their club memberships.
They have also been told they will be allowed to rejoin the two-storey leisure complex once it is rebuilt without having to pay a joining fee.
However, it is not yet known what form the new club will take. Bosses may take advantage of a fresh start on the centre by boosting the services it provides to members.
A spokesman for Scottish-based Macdonald Hotels, which owns the Last Drop, said: "Planners will be sitting down within the next fortnight to discuss the options.
"At the moment we have no time frame but we hope work will start soon."
The hotel was packed with guests attending four wedding receptions when the blaze started at 4pm on Saturday, August 17.
The building was evacuated as flames spread rapidly through the club, causing the roof to collapse.
The blaze, which took 2 hours to put out, was believed to have been caused by an electrical fault in the sauna. Several fire doors prevented the blaze from spreading to the rest of the hotel.
