KEVIN Nolan underlined his commitment to Bolton Wanderers today when he shrugged off his latest snub by England Under 21 coach David Platt.

"I'm not disappointed at all," the Reebok midfield starlet insisted.

"I was happy playing for Bolton Wanderers yesterday and I'll be happy if I'm playing against Manchester United in the next game.

"It's everybody's ambition to play for their country but I'm not getting too upset about it.

"I've been wanting to play for Bolton Wanderers since I was 14 years of age and that's all that concerns me at the moment."

Platt was due to announce his squad today but Nolan was understood to have learned over the weekend that he would not be in the party. Platt appears to have scored an own goal in omitting the 20-year-old Wanderer from his squad for Friday night's friendly against Yugoslavia - at the Reebok!

The presence of a player from the host club is always a guarantee of a decent sized crowd which, in turn, can inspire a good performance. But many believe Nolan's claim to be valid by any criteria.

Already capped at U-20 level, he is an established Premiership midfield player with a good scoring record.

And yesterday he was reinstated to the Wanderers midfield after being relegated to the substitutes' bench and helped the side earn their first points of the season.
