KEITH Jolley continued his recent excellent form in the Bullough Tankard Medal at Turton last Saturday.
Following his win in the premier competition of the club (the First President's Cup) earlier in the month, he ran out an easy winner by a margin of two shots. He reached the turn in two over par thanks to steady play and birdies at the sixth and seventh.
It was no surprise that his inward nine were not quite as good, but he stayed clear of any disaster to finish seven shots to the good for his 15 handicap.
The early breeze abated somewhat late in the morning and most of the good scores came from the later players. Several of the lower handicap players in the afternoon made use of the more ideal conditions and had excellent scores, although Leighton Horsley was the exception as he was an early starter.
