TRAVELLERS using Manchester Airport will soon be able to get their vaccinations done by popping into Terminal 1's NHS Walk-In Centre.
The travel vaccination service starts on September 9. Anyone due to travel should phone the NHS clinic and book an appointment.
Nurses are available to give vaccinations and offer advice about medication such as malaria tablets. There is no charge for the consultation and travellers will just pay for the cost of the jab.
The walk-in centre is open for vaccinations between 5pm and 8pm Monday to Friday, and between 10am and 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
The health centre sees its service as a back-up to the vaccination service provided by GPs.
The clinic can also devise a health programme for business travellers, tourists and backpackers, as well as offering advice on accident prevention and safe sex. To book for an appointment, call 0161 489 2109.
