THE U18 Division kicked off with new boys Fives Athletic from Salford drawing 3-3 with Leigh's Bedford Rangers.
Craig Gardner from the penalty spot and with a stunning shot from 25 yards put Bedford 2-0 up but it did not take long for Fives to level.
Bedford re-took the lead in the 69th minute when Chris Priest turned his defender and planted a smart shot into the bottom corner, but conceded a late goal
In the U16s Rangers fared better with a 6-2 win over Lowton Athletic. Rangers only led 1-0 at half time lead.
The second half saw a spree of seven goals, with Rory Littlewood netting his hat-trick. Athletic came back with two goals from Ben Maginn and Simon Cooper, but gave away an own goal which gave Rangers control of the game.
Rangers struck again through Ross but the goal of the game came from Rangers' Dean Edwards with a 25yd drive into the top corner.
