WALLSUCHES Reservoir is still up for sale, despite a "phenomenal" amount of interest in the site.
Since the six-acre reservoir, off Chorley Old Road, came on the market, estate agents Miller Metcalfe have received more than 100 inquiries about the privately-owned site.
The interested parties have had a range of different ideas in mind concerning the man-made reservoir, which is teeming with fresh water fish.
Plans included wanting to build houses, fishing the reservoir, or simply purchasing the ground rents.
However, as yet no one has made an offer for the reservoir. The owner is inviting offers over £100,000.
Miller Metcalfe commercial director Alan McNaughton said: "There has been a phenomenal amount of interest but it is still available."
The reservoir is set in a 10-acre site and has the potential to be made into a competitive fishing venue, although it is unsuitable for water sports due to its size.
All the existing mature trees and shrubs must be retained by whoever buys the site.
