SO, Mr Simon Hart (August 28) tells us that two out of three vets are in favour of hunting.
This really surprises me. Is he saying that the majority of vets are in favour of seeing animals torn to shreds for pleasure? Surely that can't be right? I've actually seen vets on television fighting to save the life of one injured fox. Did they not realise that they should have actually been throwing them to the dogs?
Like all those who enjoy blood sports, he hides behind the same old story that hunting is managing the population. Wel,l what a way to do it. Does the word cruel spring to mind? Just out of curiosity, how many foxes are killed at any one hunt?
He says that the Government have never promised a ban on hunting, and yet I personally wrote to Tony Blair before he was elected and he promised me that they would. Just goes to show you can never trust a politician.
It is, Mr Hart, an infringement on my civil liberty to know that there are people around like you who are willing to kill and take pleasure in doing so?
