DAVID Platt's England U21 side was given a run for its money yesterday - by Bolton Wanderers' U19s.
Platt, who caused a stir by omitting Wanderers' ace Kevin Nolan from his squad for tomorrow night's friendly international against Yugoslavia at the Reebok, saw his England stars - including Jermaine Jenas, Jermain Defoe and Shaun Wright-Phillips - trail 1-0 at half time before running out 4-1 winners at the Euxton training camp.
