A GARDEN centre is hoping to be named the pick of the crop in a national contest.
Bents Garden Centre in Glazebury, near Leigh, has been included in a shortlist of 15 to take the Garden Centre Association's national title.
It has already beat competition from 40 other garden centes in the North West to become the GCA's regional centre of excellence.
The national title will be announced next January.
