MORE than 650 registered sex offenders are living in Merseyside, a report has revealed.
The report, published by Merseyside Police and the Probation Service, shows 941 violent offenders and other sex offenders live in the region.
The police are required by law to publish the figures. They say it is not meant to alarm the public, but to minimise offenders re-offending.
