STEVE Banks has thrown down the gauntlet to former Wanderers' keeper Aidan Davison within days of joining Bradford on loan.
The out-of-favour Reebok keeper joined the Bantams on a three-month loan last week and was on the bench for Saturday's Division One game against Rotherham. But he has no intention of playing second fiddle for long.
"I've come here to play first team football," Banks said. "I don't want to spend my time on the bench again. I've done that for the last couple of years, not doing an awful lot, and now I want to get my career back on track.
"It's entirely up to me. I've come here and the manager's said it's up to us two to fight it out and I'm happy with that."
