SINCE the early 60s I have followed Bolton far and wide in all divisions.
In the mid-80s I had to move to London to find work, along with many others.
Phil Gartside should realise there are a lot of fans who would go but can't. Unemployment is still a problem in Bolton and while the chairman may be rich enough to attend every game, £25 for a game of football is a large portion of family income and if you take your kids the cost is just too much. I agree that watching Djorkaeff may be fantastic for the soul, but it does not feed your kids.
Phil Gartside wants to get out in the community a bit more and he will see that the fans love Bolton, but they just cannot afford to go.
