I am worried over recent tabloid speculation that Wanderers offered Michael Ricketts to Spurs.
It has been common practice over the past 10 years for the club to sell and with £30m of debt immediate injections of capital have had to be made to avoid bankruptcy.
It is sad to see talented players develop only to be then sold to the highest bidder
I feel this has happened too many times to believe the recent Ricketts rumour is unfounded and I beleive selling him could cost us Premiership survival.
The losses Bolton would incur as a consequence of relegation far outway the need to cash-in on the player.
I am extremley confident he can perform and even beat last year's goal tally, hence avoiding relegation once more.
A message for the di rectors of Bolton Wanderers Football Club - do not sell Michael Ricketts. He is happy to stay at the club and he is under a lengthy contract. I know Christmas is the season for giving gifts, but don't give him away!
