COMPANIES looking for the royal seal of approval have until midnight on October 31 to enter the 2003 Queen's Award for Enterprise awards.
Winners will be announced on the Queen's birthday, April 21.
The Awards reward outstanding achievement in international trade, innovation and sustainable development.
Queen's Awards Secretary David Moore said today: "This year 14 North-west businesses won awards -- the highest total since 1997 -- and we would be delighted if 2003 poduced even more winners."
"The North-west has long been famous for its industrial and commercial achievements.
"Winning The Queen's Award can be a valuable marketing and business tool, enabling companies to demonstrate their
business success to customers, staff -- and competitors."
He said nearly a third of the 2002 winners had fewer than 50 employees.
