A MUSICIAN has got his missing guitar back thanks to a kind-hearted Bolton Evening News reader.
Frank Barlow, aged 64, asked for help after the distinctive cello-shaped instrument vanished from outside his Chorley Old Road home.
He has owned it since 1958 and was heart-broken when it disappeared.
But a reader, who had been handed the guitar by a man who found it in the street, returned it to its owner after seeing the report.
Mr Barlow said: "I was amazed when the guitar went missing and I was even more amazed when I got it back.
"I think I left it outside my home while unloading my car after a concert."
He added: "I'd like to thank the Bolton Evening News and the reader who returned the guitar. When it was gone it felt like part of me was missing."
