LANCASHIRE'S "champion for older people" has written to Health Secretary Alan Milburn, accusing him of discrimination against elderly women.
Cllr Dorothy Westell says moves to extend breast screening are welcome, but do not go far enough.
By 2004, health authorities will extend screening invitations to women up to 70, but over-70s will not receive them.
