MEMORIES of his last two visits to White Hart Lane came flooding back as Anthony Barness looked forward to Wanderers trip to Tottenham next week.
"It hasn't been a good ground for us and we'd like to turn that round," the Londoner said before, recalling his own personal nightmares, he smiled and added "I certainly would!"
Barness had the misfortune to concede own goals in Wanderers' two cup thrashings in North London last season - the fifth in 6-0 Worthington Cup hammering in December and the fourth in the 4-0 FA Cup defeat in February when he also had the misfortune to concede the penalty that started the goal rout.
Having lost all four games to Glenn Hoddle's men last season, revenge should be a spur for Wanderers as they look to bounce back after their Middlesbrough mauling.
"We've got time to put the Middlesbrough defeat to the back of our minds and see where we didn't do so well," Barness said, reflecting on the 2-0 defweat at The Rverside.
"But we mustn't dwell on what went wrong. Instead we should take the positives from the first part of the season and hopefully take that into the Tottenham game.
"We'll go there with good spirits and, hopefully, get ourselves a few more points."
