PUPILS will be able to tuck into their school dinner in comfort in a new dining room.
Apprentices at Bolton Council's housing deprtment built the dining room extension at Harper Green School, Farnworth, which has taken in more pupils than ever before this term.
The apprentices are studying for National Vocational Qualifications.
They started the work on the dining room at the end of the summer term to keep disruption to a minimum.
Executive member for education, Cllr Linda Thomas, said: "The school head and governors are delighted with the improvements.
"These have enhanced the catering service and also freed up valuable teaching space."
