RADCLIFFE-based Euro MP Gary Titley, leader of the British Group of Labour MEPs, will be the keynote speaker at a special inaugural meeting tonight.
He will be the guest at the first meeting of the new North Manchester International Trade Network at Bolton's Ramada Jarvis Hotel, on Monday, (Oct 14) beginning at 5pm.
At the free event, which is supported by Trade Partners UK, he will speak about the impact on British business of current developments within the EU. He will share his thoughts on whether issues, such as the Euro and European enlargement, represent a significant threat or a real opportunity for local companies.
The main aims of the Network, which developed out of the local Chambers Bolton Bury Export Club, are to provide an opportunity for local companies to learn about key issues facing exporters. It will bring together current and potential exporters from across North Manchester in order to take advantage of the wealth of experience and expertise that exists within the area. The Network is a cooperative venture of the Chambers of Commerce of Bolton and Bury, Wigan Borough, Rochdale and Oldham and Business Link North Manchester.
Gary Titley is the Labour Spokesman for Trade and Industry in the European Parliament and also Vice President of the Socialist Group within the European Parliament with responsibility for EU enlargement.
