BOLTON-based firm Cash Generator saved a massive £40,000 after a financial rehaul -- and promptly gave away £4,000 of its savings to Christie cancer hospital.
A bid to reduce the company's overheads in 60 of its franchised stores saw the firm promising to give away 10 per cent to charity.
Steve Wilkinson, financial director of Cash Generator, presented the cheque to Christie's alongside finance analyst from Salford-based ERA consultancy, Neil Cullen, who saved the company more than £40,000.
Christie regional appeals officer Jackie Plant said: "I've heard of spending money to save money -- but it's unusual for anyone to give part of the savings away. We are delighted with the support from both Cash Generator and ERA."
